This week’s must-see single: Beastie Boys’ Triple Trouble

It has been six years since the last Beastie Boys album, but a decade since the Spike Jonze-directed cop show pastiche for Sabotage made them synonymous with cool videos as well as flair-filled raps. This promo is just as lunatic, the Beasties arriving at a premiere and telling an interviewer that the reason for the album’s delay was that they’d been kidnapped by Sasquatch. This so enrages the mythical beast that he hot-foots it to New York, finds the trio performing on a building site, and ropes them to a trolley to take them back to his cave. Once there, a few games of cards and basketball ensue. Topping the MTV Most Played list weeks before release, the clip is included on the CD single and can be seen on the website, www.beastieboys.com
