Sir, Like Harry Whitham (letter, Jan 20), I was surprised to read that the Rolling Stones require 70 lorries each carrying 4,000 tons of stage equipment from one gig to the next.

Perhaps one of your recent correspondents on statistics could inform us of the equivalent number of Eiffel Towers this represents.
