Founded in 2005 by Ayesha Vardag, the firm has made a name for itself advising the super-rich in divorce and family law cases. The website of the firm, which has offices in London, Cambridge and Manchester, says that it seeks to bring “Magic Circle standards to the world of family law”.

The firm said that it was not able to provide details of any cases over the past year owing to client confidentiality.

However, the firm’s founder hit the headlines this year, relaxing the previously strict dress code that had dictated that staff should adopt discreet tailoring and ditch cardigans and long hair in the office. Vardags’ revised dress code has moved to be “more like Annabel’s”, the celebrity club, embracing gold leather trousers, scarlet Dr Martens and pink hair.

To hunt for future talent, the firm recently launched a law essay competition, open to all university students across the UK. The winner will get a £2,000 prize, along with an exclusive one-on-one session with Ayesha Vardag, the founder and president.
