This week’s Unseen gallery is a selection of unique images from Edinburgh and the North West. Bradley Ormesher was at Murrayfield for Scotland’s comeback win against England on Saturday in the Six Nations. He also attended Premier League matches at Goodison Park, the Etihad and Anfield.

I love this aspect of rugby: amid the sea of faces in the Murrayfield crowd, the occasional white England shirt stands out without any problems. The atmosphere was electric for the 130th Calcutta Cup match and the roar when the hosts scored their first try was truly something to behold. It was probably as deafening as any sound I’ve experienced in a sports stadium.

Perhaps one of my favourite sporting trophies, the Calcutta Cup holds the distinction of being the oldest rugby trophy still contested. True to its name, it hails from India, featuring an elephant atop and snakes as handles. Here, we see the hands of the retiring Scotland doctor James Robson lift the trophy after Scotland’s 30-21 win.

It started so well for England. Here, George Furbank goes over to score the first try of the game and stun Murrayfield into silence — but not for long.

Joy in the crowd as Flower of Scotland rang around the stadium before kick-off.

All hands to the pump! Here’s a rear view of the England scrum in Edinburgh. Notice the settings below; towards the end of the game, I was on 4000 ISO, indicating low-light conditions. It’s the only downside at Murrayfield. The stadium could definitely benefit from some modern floodlights.

This young busker had a successful day with his bagpipes outside Murrayfield. I’m not sure if you can zoom in close enough but there are fivers, tenners and twenties in his instrument case.”

Even the England fans love Doddie, as shown by this gentleman taking a photo opportunity at Murrayfield’s Doddie Weir memorial. If you look closely you can also spot his Doddie hat.

Earlier in the week I was at Goodison Park for Everton’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace. Amadou Onana may not look particularly happy in this shot but the Everton midfielder had just sent the Gwladys Street Stand into raptures after his late equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

Last Tuesday, I was at Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Brentford. Here, Mark Flekken dives at the feet of Phil Foden. I had a lovely sequence of seven or eight frames for this moment and it would have made a lovely goal picture had Foden not hit the side-netting!

Brentford’s Mathias Jorgensen does a fine impression of Kyle Walker at the Etihad. Normally it’s the City defender providing the Kodak moment with his customary water spray.

This was an interesting effect. As the City players went into a huddle, one of the flag bearers walked in front of me. This frame was shot through the legs of one of them, creating a spotlight effect.

The ball hits the net as Erling Haaland scores the only goal of the game at the Etihad. This one was taken by my remote camera placed behind the goal.

Last week I had a couple of images with players’ hair flying — and at Anfield on Wednesday I got two in the same frame! Harvey Elliott celebrates after scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal against Luton Town with his fellow hair-raiser Jayden Danns, left.

This is Jürgen Klopp’s usual victory celebration towards the Kop but what I hadn’t seen before was him doing it in front of all four stands, as he did after the 4-1 win over Luton.
