Two ‘fake’ Rembrandts genuine

The National Gallery of Denmark, in Copenhagen, said that two of its paintings thought to be by the School of Rembrandt were actually by the Dutch master. Experts examined ten works with Rembrandt’s signature that were believed to be copies by his students. They concluded that he had painted The Crusader and Old Man in Profile. They had been removed from display as the strokes were deemed too coarse to be by Rembrandt.
