The first new Turok game for six years arrives with cinematic credentials blazing as hard as its guns. Unfortunately, even the vocal talents of fine actors such as Ron Perlman and Timothy Olyphant cannot raise this game much above the average first-person shooter.
Although the premise, of shooting dinosaurs on a planet that is swarming with enemy soldiers, is close to irresistible, the game contains too many clich?s of the FPS genre and fails to subvert any of them. Frustratingly, the visuals occasionally irritate, and the lapse between a dinosaur jumping on you and you wrestling it to the ground is maddening.
