Fischer’s Birthday

Bobby Fischer will remain immortal as long as chess continues to be played. Today would have been his 68th birthday – he was born on March 9, 1943. His most amazing exploits included winning the US Championship with 100% score and winning 13 straight games against Taimanov, Larsen and Petrosian in the World Championship qualifying matches. It is difficult to conceive of anyone ever exceeding or even replicating such feats of superlative mental combat.
