Times journalists won five major awards tonight — more than any other newspaper — at the British Press Awards 2011, which were held at the Savoy Hotel in Central London.

Caitlin Moran won Critic of the Year and Interviewer of the Year, Matthew Parris won Columnist of the Year, and David Robertson won Business and Finance Journalist of the Year for his coverage of the Ministry of Defence procurement scandal. Peter Brookes won Cartoonist of the Year.

The Times had the most nominations for awards, with a total of 18.
