In the latest episode of The Ruck podcast Owen Slot is joined by Stephen Jones of the Sunday Times, Stuart Barnes and Nick Cain, of The Rugby Paper, as the panel look back on the underwhelming performance against the Provincial Barbarians and ahead to Wednesday’s sterner test against the Auckland Blues.

Nick argues that the Lions don’t look fit enough to compete against the rapid tempo New Zealand will bring to the Tests but Owen says the performance on Saturday was not remotely a reflection of the players’ abilities. Stuart insists it will be rugby suicide for the Lions to attempt to take the All Blacks on at their own game.

Don’t forget, during the Lions tour there will be new episodes of The Ruck podcast every Monday and Thursday.
