The Mighty Boosh: Series Three

Creators: Noel Fielding & Julian Barratt, 15, 2007

Stars: Fielding, Barratt, Dave Brown, Rich Fulcher

“How is working with the Boosh different from other jobs?” a crew member is asked on the extras. “They make it up as they go along,” is the response. If that’s the case, then Fielding and Barratt are the new maestros of improv, because this third series of their cosmic sitcom is the most inspired. A fusion of the daft and the deft, it features a genuinely horrible villain in Crack Fox and (in response to the similar Flight of the Conchords?) a bigger quotient of “crimps”, the rap- cum-barber-shop skits for which the pair are famed. The result is the best current British sitcom, bar none.
