Oh no, what have they done with Luke?
Luke who?

Skywalker. He’s gone. Look here: he’s not on the poster for Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.
Calm down. That doesn’t mean anything.

But along with the new characters all the key old-timers are there. Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. Even Chewbacca.
This is a film directed by JJ Abrams. He’s famous for secrecy and mystery. I shouldn’t read too much into that. Mark Hamill was in the photograph released of the script read-through.

Maybe that was all a trick.
Bit of a silly one. And look: Hamill’s name is on the poster.

Maybe we just hear his voice. Or he’s in a flashback and not a proper character.
We’ve heard him in a trailer for this film and seen what appears to be his mechanical hand (remember it was hacked off by Darth Vader) touching R2-D2. The owner of that hand was cloaked. I reckon there’s going to be something intriguing about his appearance.

He could have a mask like his dad. He could be the new Vader!
Maybe. The key thing is I’m sure he’ll feature. They are just building the hype.

OK. I feel better now. But what about Carrie Fisher’s hair?
What about it?

The twirly side buns have gone. It looks like she wears her hair up on top of her head.
This film is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. It’s acceptable that she’d have changed her hairstyle, no?

I’m worried she’s gone over to the dark side.
The conspiracy theories are strong in this one.
