The entertainment table

CHELSEA REMAIN top of the entertainment table after a weekend in which they were among several clubs to have dominated Premiership matches in terms of goal attempts and yet lost. Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers suffered a similar fate, while Arsenal’s huge advantage over Bolton Wanderers in efforts on goal earned them only a draw. West Bromwich Albion also shared parity with Fulham in this regard, despite their 6-1 defeat.

As usual, the most remarkable statistical anomaly is provided by Everton, who, in scraping their customary 1-0 victory, consolidated their mid-table position in the Premiership while sliding farther down the entertainment table.
