In 1991, a duo called Eg and Alice released an album (24 Years of Hunger) of such insufferable whimsy and feyness that grown men and women wept with the frustration of not being able to track down the perpetrators and take a claw hammer to their mixing desk. Team LG seem intent on reawakening this dormant desire. Imagine being reincarnated as Badly Drawn Boy's Dictaphone - and, as such, the repository of every single one of his musical ditties and jottings - and you come close to both BDB's recent output and Team LG's. Trading here under the names Mr L and Little G, the pair document the break-up of their relationship to a tooth-itchingly twee patchwork of muffled piano, coy lyrics and breathy vocals. Execrable.
