SIGNET GROUP, the jewellery retailer that narrowly missed out on promotion to the FTSE 100 last week, added ¾p to 114¾p as its chairman and finance director sold stock for £3 million following the exercise of options. James McAdam and Walker Boyd jointly disposed of 2.66 million shares at 112¾p, having purchased the stock at 33¼p or 43¼p.
