Smaller stock to watch
CardPoint shares came under pressure on Monday, losing 10p to 116½p after Moneybox, its rival cash machine operator, gave warning on full-year profits. But the shares recovered much of that loss yesterday, gaining 5½p to 122p, after Evolution flagged up CardPoint’s preference for locations on trunk routes, against Moneybox’s strong high street presence.
Directors’ dealings
Nord Anglia Education’s shares closed unchanged at 220p yesterday, despite the disclosure that its founder had sold nearly 40 per cent of his stake in the group. Kevin McNeany, the company’s chairman, sold two million shares at 215p, leaving him with 3.2 million shares. This is equivalent to an 8.4 per cent stake in the company.
