Brand watch: Huntsman
When tailor Henry Huntsman founded his house in 1849, he specialised in riding breeches. The brand dressed the aristocracy of the time, including Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. After producing uniforms for officers in the First World War, Huntsman settled in Savile Row in 1919.
Today, the tailor is probably better known for its suits. Clients have included David Niven and Gregory Peck, while Mark Strong and model Jack Guinness are fans. Its new ready-to-wear collection includes a grey flannel single-breasted suit with horn buttons, £1,375 (h-huntsman.com).

1. It’s an easy-to-use smartphone that weighs only 171g … 2. … despite having a 5.7in screen, which makes writing emails a doddle. 3. The 13 mega-pixel camera with 4x zoom produces excellent, crisp images. 4. Its voice-based assistant, Cortana, scored full marks in a ten-question test. 5. Battery life is good, too – up to 37 days on standby (from £129.99 sim-free; microsoft.com).
