A fast-growing family law firm, over the past year Stowe has recruited 56 lawyers. In March Stowe acquired Watson Thomas Solicitors and opened 20 offices across England and Wales.

Recently they have taken on matters with an ultra-high-net-worth individual involving schedule 1 of the Children Act and assets of £50 million, as well as a financial remedy proceeding with assets of £25 million involving an expired pre-nuptial agreement (sunset clause).

The firm also undertook a complex international adoption case involving a child adopted in Gambia, which was not legally recognised by English law when the family moved to England. Lack of official documentation from Gambia has caused complications. The case is with the High Court but the firm says it is looking positive for a UK-based adoption.
