I was smitten with the superb 2000 vintage of this wine, but it has taken time for the 2001 to impress. A blend of vintages, young and old, bottled and cellared in 2001, hence the mis-en-cave tag, this is now a delightful non-vintage champagne, with intense, waxy, almond-scented exotic fruit.
