Hill climbs peak to beat Skelton
Bowls: Jamie Hill, a 24-year-old from New Zealand who landed at Heathrow only 28 hours earlier, overcame his tiredness to secure a place in the second round of the WBT World Indoor Singles Championship at Potters Leisure Resort, Norfolk. “I feel shattered,” Hill, who defeated Simon Skelton 7-6, 9-8, said. “I flew into Sydney to make my Australian Premiership debut for Cabramatta on Friday, then had to come straight on here. I need some sleep.”
Earlier, Danny Denison, from Devon, beat John Whiteley, from Featherstone, 9-5, 1-9, 2-1.

Motor racing: German investigators have filed charges against three former Toyota Motorsport officials suspected of using technology stolen from Ferrari to test racing car aerodynamics. A former Ferrari technician is accused of stealing the program.

Bristow berated
