A squirrel caused £10,000 of damage after climbing down the chimney of a house in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and getting trapped in the living room.
The homeowners Alan and Janice White, who were on holiday when the incident happened, will have to replace curtains, carpets, windows and a three-piece suite.
The squirrel, which caused the damage while trying to find a way to escape, was discovered dead and covered in soot behind a coffee table.
