The granddaughters of the late porn baron Paul Raymond have enjoyed a 9% boost to the value of the property empire he built.
Fawn and India Rose James, known as the “Queens of Soho”, saw Soho Estates’ holdings rise from £520.6m to £565.6m in the year to March, according to accounts at Companies House.
Raymond, who died seven years ago, used profits from magazines such as Men Only and Razzle to amass a remarkable portfolio.
Four years ago the estate was divided in two. Raymond’s granddaughters received 80% and now own a swathe of central London, including the site of Ronnie Scott’s jazz club and the original Soho House. His son, Raymond, was given the other 20%.
Soho Estates is managed by John James, Raymond’s son-in-law, and chaired by Steven Norris, the former Conservative transport minister.

Fawn, 29, and India Rose, 23, are influential in its running, however. They are involved in redeveloping Walker’s Court, home to the former Raymond Revuebar. Work is due to start later this year on new offices, shops, restaurants and a cabaret-style theatre.
