The firm acted for a decorator who suffered permanent facial scarring after being bitten by a dog. He was visiting a private address to give a quote for work within the home when he was attacked by the dog living there. It jumped up and bit the claimant’s right upper lip and right side of his nose, after it escaped from the kitchen when its owner was trying to put it on a lead. The client’s scarred lip left him having difficulty with his speech. He developed a phobia of dogs and lost confidence in his appearance. He received a five-figure settlement.

It also secured a five-figure settlement for a man whose hand and wrist were crushed while moving barrels at work. He was replacing a barrel of varnish when his hand and wrist were caught between two full barrels, after being required to work without suitable mechanical lifting equipment.
