Notable recent cases include acting on behalf of a boy who suffered brain damage during his birth at a hospital in Woolwich, southeast London. The child, who requires 24-hour care, was awarded £10 million in compensation by the High Court. Simpson Millar is also representing about 500 former Debenhams workers who are taking legal action after losing their jobs.

The firm attracted controversy when the media reported that it had claimed £850,000 in government furlough money between December 2020 and April 2021.
