Airlines including Ryanair are considering suing the Government for up to £300 million to recover the losses they have incurred following the introduction of the new security measures at airports.
They are hoping the threat of legal action will force the Government to drop the current restrictions on hand luggage which have resulted in delayed and cancelled flights.
