Shoosmiths is fully invested in Scotland and has secured new work with major organisations over the past year. This has included advising Intelligent Land Investments’ application to Scottish ministers for the Red John pumped storage hydro scheme — a way of storing electricity using reservoirs at different heights.
The firm is advising on more high-calibre transactions than ever, including Electric Sea Racing on its recent investment by the Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The team has also advised Extreme E, an international racing series that uses off-road electric racing to highlight climate change challenges, on a number of significant fundraising efforts.
