Shepherd and Wedderburn’s clean energy group comprises more than 90 specialist solicitors drawn from a spectrum of legal disciplines. The firm advised the Moray Offshore group in relation to the proposed Moray West wind farm, which will power up to 640,000 homes.

It works with a range of innovative clients in the technology sector. Recent notable deals include acting for Epic Games, a video games and video games engine developer and publisher, in three acquisitions: of the games development company Tonic Games; of SuperAwesome, a pioneer in the “kidtech” market; and of Cubic Motion, a provider of facial animation technology.

In banking and finance, the firm has been appointed as sole legal adviser, in respect of corporate legal services, to the Scottish National Investment Bank. It advised the bank in its £3 million investment into IndiNature, a manufacturer of sustainable construction materials, and its £2 million investment in Forev Ltd, which builds and operates sustainable electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
