Service of thanksgiving: Humphry Crum Ewing

The Lord Mayor of Westminster attended a service of thanksgiving for the life and work of Humphry Crum Ewing, held in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, on Tuesday January 19.

The Rev Canon Robert Wright, Rector of St Margaret’s, officiated, said the bidding prayer and pronounced the blessing, assisted by the Rev Graeme Napier, Minor Canon of Westminster, who led the prayers.

Mr Marc Lee read the lesson, Mr Alexander Crum Ewing, son, read Psalm 1 and Mr Richard Tomlinson, stepson, and Lord Astor of Hever paid tribute.

During the service the choir of St Margaret’s sang, conducted by Aidan Oliver, director of music, and Mr Thomas Trotter played the organ.

The Vice Lord Lieutenant for Greater London attended.
