The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers & Greys)
His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, and Brigadier Simon Allen, colonel of the regiment, were present at The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards regimental dinner held on March 9, 2010, in the officers’ mess, Wessex Barracks, Bad Fallingbostel, prior to deployment of the regiment to Afghanistan. The commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Biggart, presided. Also present were Lieutenant Colonel Roger Binks and Major Jamie Erskine, outgoing and incoming regimental secretary.
The Mounted Infantry Club
General Sir Jack Deverell presided over the 97th annual dinner of The Mounted Infantry Club held at Boodle’s, St James’s Street, London, on March 10, 2011. Thirty two members and their guests attended. Robin Oakley was the speaker and General Sir Nicholas Houghton, VCDS, was the Army Board guest.
