Air Vice-Marshal S. J. Bollom, CB, to be promoted Air Marshal and to be Chief of Materiel (Air) in Defence & Equipment Support and Chief Engineer (Royal Air Force) in October 2012 in succession to Air Marshal Sir Kevin Leeson, KCB, CBE, who is retiring from the Service. In addition, Air Vice-Marshal Bollom is appointed to the Air Force Board as the Air Member for Materiel on the same date.

Air Commodore M. A. Clark to be promoted air vice-marshal and to be Director (Technical) in the Military Aviation Authority on June 15, 2012, in succession to Air Vice-Marshal C. W. Ness, CB, who is retiring from the Service.

Group Captain T. W. Jones to be promoted air commodore and to be Director Flying Training, No 22 (Training) Group on June 25, 2012, in succession to Air Commodore N. E. Wharmby, OBE, who is retiring from the Service.
Group Captain P. A. Round to be promoted air commodore and to be Capability Director European Defence Agency on 2 July 2012 in succession to Brigadier J Mullin.
