Senior Army Appointments

Major-General R. Baxter (late Royal Corps of Signals), currently Chief of Staff Support, Headquarters Land Command, is to be Deputy Chief of Defence Staff (Health), in the rank of Lieutenant General.

Major-General R. A. D. Applegate (late Royal Regiment of Artillery), currently Capability Manager (Battlespace Manoeuvre) in succession to Vice-Admiral R. A. I. McLean, in July 2007, is to be Assistant Chief of the General Staff, in succession to Major-General W. R. Rollo, in January 2007.
