Secret millionaire's fortune continues to grow

Benamor was a secret millionaire in the Channel 4 series in 2008. After experiencing life in Manchester's Moss Side, the 33-year-old helped a range of good causes, from a choral society for the homeless to a brass band in a former mining town.

Benamor has made his fortune by providing loans to applicants turned away by other lenders. Profits at Richmond Group, his Bournemouth company, increased to £19.3m on sales of £46.4m in 2009-10.

A £32m profit is forecast for 2010-11 and we value it at £220m.
