The Prince of Wales was forced to cancel a trip to the Sahara desert today because of a sandstorm.
High winds meant it was too dangerous to fly to Errachidia in central Morocco.
Instead he joined the Duchess of Cornwall on a tour of the Kasbah in Rabat.
A Clarence House spokesman said: “High winds meant it was not possible for the pilot to guarantee a safe landing for the aircraft in Errachidia. Alternative engagements will be made in Rabat.”
The plane was a BAe 146 of the Royal Flight, piloted by the RAF.

The Prince, who is on the third day of his official visit to Morocco, had been due to see how trees are being planted to combat desertification. He had also planned to observe the recently reintroduced native Saharan antelope, the Dorcas gazelle.
