Ryan Cresswell has outlined Rotherham United’s targets for the rest of the season: to amass 20 points and achieve automatic promotion.
The 23-year-old returned in Saturday’s draw with Bury after a broken collarbone and an ankle injury.“I’ve been unlucky,” he said. “I did my shoulder in a tackle and then coming back from that I went over my ankle in training but that’s behind me.”
Adam Le Fondre, the Rotherham striker, had a shot cleared off the line within the first three minutes. In the second half, a shot by Nicky Law trickled wide of Bury’s goal.
Kyle Bennett hit the side-netting for Bury and Tom Lees missed from three yards, but Efe Sodje, the Bury defender, was pleased his side kept a five-point lead over their promotion rivals.
“At this time it is about keeping teams like Rotherham away from us,” Sodje said.
