MINMET, the Irish mining vehicle with interests in Peru, Brazil and the Dominican Republic, jumped 1.6p to 3.9p — or 76 per cent — on reports that this year’s production from Björkdal, its 50 per cent owned goldmine in Sweden, would beat earlier forecasts. Dealers hear that Minmet’s first-half figures, due this month, could bring further positive news on the project.
