Sir, Dwindling oil supplies and ever widening motorways don’t add up. Someone has to get off the road, and it’s only fair that those who have already used petrol for years and years should be the first to go.
Just as soon as there is a battery-operated fully integrated public transport system, with a friendly conductor, tea-making facilities and onboard Bingo, I will gladly give up my car.
