PUBLIC procurement rules are “riddled with unfairness” and are biased against the voluntary sector, businesses, and even councils, according to a new report from the CBI, says The MJ (Jan 26). John Cridland, the CBI’s deputy director-general, says: “The system clearly isn’t working as it should. This may prevent the Government making the best possible use of all providers, hampering its ability to achieve effective reform.”
