Round the bend

Rennie Mackintosh’s vertical chairs may be beautiful to look at but they don’t fit with our natural spinal curvature

Sir, J. Messenger (letter, May 31) asks that we consider our own form rather than denigrating the vertical design of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh chair, and that we should sit up straight instead. But the spine isn’t naturally straight. Can we please have chairs which fit the curves?
