Rhyming couplet

Poetry and fish wrappings

Sir, Perhaps Roger Lewis (June 23) and Michael Horovitz (letter, June 22) should conduct their disagreement through the medium of poetry rather than your letters pages. They would be following in the fine tradition of Catullus, who in separate poems described the output of Volusius — a very different sort of poet from himself — as both lavatory paper and for wrapping fish.
