Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker, will be left out of the England squad for the Toulon Tournament later this month.
Rashford has been tipped to represent England at the Toulon Tournament, a youth football competition comprising of 10 teams which takes place from May 18-29, but The Times understands that the teenager will not be in Gareth Southgate’s squad, which is due to be announced on May 12.
United’s participation in the FA Cup final, which takes place on May 21, two days after Toulon starts, has scuppered any chance of the United forward being involved.
Rashford, 18, is regarded as one of the best young talents in the country after scoring seven goals in his first 15 matches in all competitions for the club.
The United academy graduate enjoyed a dream debut in February, scoring twice in the 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland after being drafted into the starting XI at the last minute following an injury to Anthony Martial in the warm-up.

Southgate is expected to name a strong squad that includes a number of players who have been involved in the most recent England under-21 qualifying campaign.
James Wilson, who is on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion from United, and Chuba Akpom, the Arsenal loanee currently at Hull City, will not be selected, however, if their teams are involved in the Sky Bet Championship play-offs.
England kick off their Toulon campaign against Portugal on May 19 before taking on Guinea, Paraguay and Japan. The two group winners meet on May 29 in Avignon.
