This year Quinn Emanuel, which is one of the leading US litigation practices in London, announced that its UK revenue for 2022 had risen 5 per cent to about £133.6 million. Profits at the London outpost were up 10 per cent to nearly £95 million. The most notable figure was the profit margin for the firm’s London office, which stood at 71 per cent.

Recently, the firm acted for Ukraine in achieving its landmark victory in the Supreme Court in the claim brought by Law Debenture on behalf of the Russian Federation. The case involved $3 billion in Eurobonds issued by Ukraine in 2013, the sole subscriber to which was the Russian Federation.

The firm also acted for a group of bondholders in a dispute with the government of Argentina that resulted in a five-week trial in the London High Court.

A team from the firm’s offices in London, Switzerland and the US has been instructed by key holders of Credit Suisse’s AT1 capital instruments to represent them in discussions with Swiss authorities and possible litigation to recover losses suffered following the announcement of a merger between UBS and Credit Suisse.
