There’s also a retro feel to Punch Hero, although this time it’s used as the inspiration for a brand new game. Punch Hero owes plenty to the classic Nintendo boxing game Punch-Out!, with this homage adding a behind-the-pugilist perspective for a more involving feel and a beat-box soundtrack to bring things up to date. Your job: to batter the living daylights out of a succession of challengers, while building your boxer’s skills. The game is free, but uses in-app payments to speed things along if necessary. The ability to create opponents from real people by snapping them with the camera is a neat trick. Excuse me, boss? Could you pose for a picture?
