Prayer for Christian Unity

A prayer vigil for young adults celebrating Christian Unity week will take place tomorrow at 7pm in Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, London.

Abide in Me, will feature Scripture readings, music and dance as well as a short talk, all focussed on the theme of unity in and through Christ. A supper of soup and bread will be on offer afterwards.

It is being organised by Jesus Christ the Fullness of Life, an ecumenical prayer group with a Roman Catholic ethos that meets regularly for prayer and worship.

The organiser, Peter Kingsley explains: “Abide in Me will state our need to be united with Jesus Christ if we are to bear fruit in loving words, thoughts and deeds. Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15: 5)”

Groups participating include the Bard School, a Christian arts group with a Catholic ethos, The Sanctuary, a Christian group that meets regularly at Westminster Central Hall and JCFL.
