An awful lot of different groups are likely to protest at the latest government cuts proposals, but who will police them?

Sir, With so many disparate groups feeling moved to protest at government cuts in wages, pensions, conditions or services, I suggest they all arrange marches to coincide with a police officers’ protest (report, Mar 9). Who will be there to “kettle” them?
