Poohstick shortage

Sir, I am grateful to Dr Rhys Morgan for his advice on the perfect poohstick (report, Aug 26), but anyone who has visited the site of the original Pooh Bridge will know that there is not a twig to be found on the ravaged trees near by. Tourists should take their own sticks to avoid disappointment.
