Proof, again, that kids’ movies are one of the hardest genres comes in Planet 51, a hideously annoying and emotionally blank tale of how an alien world deals with the arrival of an astronaut from Earth. Lovely concept, but the execution — skater-dude aliens, moronic Earthling, pee jokes — could not be more inept.
