Mark Parker enjoys relaxing with his family. "The kids are all college age or beyond but we go to lots of sporting events." The Nike exec played baseball, basketball and hockey as a kid and now enjoys watching them live.
His wife, Kathy Mills, who set a world 5,000 metre record in 1978, is a track coach, and Parker runs for pleasure. He started running track in high school and was a competitive runner at Penn State University before running into problems.

Bad knees have cut his running to shorter distances and he now runs just a few times a week. He works out in Nike's gym on the stationary bike and StairMaster.
He also cycles with his friend Lance Armstrong. "But only socially. He's an amazing guy."
Parker started drawing at the age of six. "I used to modify my shoes with a marker pen," he says. He still constantly doodles even when is not at work with his design hat on.
The Nike CEO is also a contemporary art groupie, always channelling new ideas to keep wowing the audience in Nike's marketing big top. When he is not at work he spends his money collecting contemporary art and sponsoring artists. "It's a passion, I guess. I have a weakness for supporting young, talented artists."
