Baywatch lifeguard to save planet
The Labour MP Frank Field and the actress Pamela Anderson are working together to save the rainforest, it has been revealed. They met for the first time last week, but the former minister says he first noticed her 20 years ago in Baywatch. And what could be more natural for the doughty campaigner against poverty than to notice how, in those days, poor Pamela didn’t seem to own many clothes (see picture).

A Windsor sand castle?
As previously unseen royal photographs are released to celebrate the jubilee, this one from the 1950s, showing Prince Charles buried up to his neck in sand, reveals the Queen’s tough approach to discipline in the home: “But Mother, one only said one didn’t want another bedtime story about Big-Ears.”
