OSS 117: Lost in Rio

This French spy-movie spoof is a sequel to OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies, which starred Jean Dujardin as a suave but empty-headed Bond type at large in the 1950s. Now we find him in the late 1960s, unfazed by Nazi war criminals in South America, but confounded by free-loving hippies. This time, though, the jokes aren't as good. The film perfectly reproduces the look of the movies it sends up, but the previous instalment did this too - all the more reason to seek out that earlier film before bothering with this one.
