Osbornes Law, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, was founded in Camden and has grown from a two-partner practice to become one of the largest private-client firms in London.

Recent family work includes representing a father who had campaigned throughout longstanding care proceedings for his children’s removal from the mother’s care, which he regarded to be dangerously unsafe. The case, known only as K and L, is due for retrial after the Court of Appeal found that the hearing had been unfair to the mother.

The firm’s ten-strong clinical negligence team has recently acted for an actress and director who was belatedly diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. The client, whose career depended on using her voice, now relies on a remote-control device to speak. A settlement was negotiated this year for more than £300,000.

Commended for family; personal injury & clinical negligence
