Onside Law, which has offices in London, Switzerland and Australia, has been at the forefront of sports law for nearly two decades, advising clubs, players, managers, international federations, intermediaries and other businesses. It now stands as a team of 28 dedicated sports lawyers.

The firm acted for the England and Wales Cricket Board, a long-term client, on its lengthy disciplinary proceedings against Yorkshire County Cricket Club and seven former cricketers arising from the allegations of racism and discrimination raised by Azeem Rafiq and others.

The partner Oliver Hunt has played a pivotal role in Jude Bellingham’s transfer to Real Madrid. The England midfielder is likely to become the UK’s most expensive player under the six-year deal and is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world. Oliver, who attended the signing with the family, is a member of “Team Bellingham”; the role involves responsibility for all of Jude and his brother Jobe’s legal affairs.
